NEW YORK – Ellen DeGeneres has apologized to "The Bachelor" star Brad Womack for calling him a "jerk" on her talk show. Not only that, but she had Womack on her show Friday to smooth things over.
The ruckus started on Tuesday, when "Bachelor" co-finalist DeAnna Pappas was a guest on "Ellen" to discuss how Womack decided he wouldn't choose any of the finalists -- a "Bachelor" first.
"I may have called [Womack] a jerk," DeGeneres said on Thursday's show. "I'm pretty sure I did. 'Cause I thought he was a jerk. 'Cause I thought he led the girls on."
DeGeneres said she had a change of heart after thinking about what she'd said -- and after hearing that Womack was bothered by being called a "jerk."
"I went home that night and I thought, 'That's not who I am,'" she said Thursday. "I don't like to judge people."
