Police say a 16-year-old boy has been charged in the shooting of two undercover narcotics officers in Northeast Philadelphia.
Police say the plainclothes officers were wearing badges when they were wounded about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday while trying to serve an arrest warrant in the city's Frankford section.
It was the city's fourth and fifth police shootings in less than three months.
Police say they have charged the 16-year-old with attempted murder, possession with intent to deliver drugs and aggravated assault.
One officer was shot in the leg, the other was hit in the hip. Both were treated and released from hospitals.
The shootings happened less than two weeks after 54-year-old Officer Chuck Cassidy was fatally shot as he walked in on a robbery at a doughnut shop.
