A 3-year-old boy was found wandering in a New Orleans gas station Tuesday and was placed in foster care after his mother saw him on the news but didn't pick him up, WDSU.com reports.

The owner of the Chevron station on Crowder Boulevard in New Orleans East called the police around 1 p.m. Tuesday after seeing the shirtless boy alone in his store, the site reported.
