Memorial services have been set for U.S. Representative Jo Ann Davis.

Davis died at her Gloucester home Saturday after a two-year battle with breast cancer. She was 57.

Davis' office said a memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the World Outreach Worship Center in Newport News.

A funeral has been set for 1 p.m. Thursday at the Lighthouse Worship Center in Hayes.

Davis was the first Republican woman elected to the House of Representatives from Virginia. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and had a reoccurrence earlier this year. Her health took a turn for the worse during the past week.

She is survived by her husband, Chuck, two grown sons and a granddaughter.

Davis represented Virginia's first congressional district, which stretches north to Prince William County.
