Friday Finals: Week's Winners and Losers

The trouble begins… now! Does John's My Word make your blood boil? Click here to listen live to The John Gibson Show on FOX News Radio (weekdays, 6-9 p.m. ET). It's your chance to call in and argue with John!

It's the Friday Finals, my choices for the week's biggest winners and losers, and they reasons why! First the winners.

Mary Winkler was a definite winner. Sixty-seven days in jail for shooting your husband to death? Don't try this at home, kids. I don't think very many people would be that fortunate.

Karl Rove is a winner. They didn't lay a glove on him, and now he's free to give interviews and flame his tormentors. Rock on, Karl.

David Beckham is a winner. He finally scored a goal for the L.A. Galaxy, and he's selling out soccer venues around the country. People want to see him, not his boring wife.

And Curtis Sliwa is a winner, along with Don Imus. Imus might take Sliwa's time slot on WABC Radio in New York, but classy Curtis said, hey, Imus got screwed and I'll be fine. Berets off to Curtis.

Now let's talk about the week's losers, chosen by me and my staff.

Charles Steger, president of Virginia Tech. What are you thinking? The longer you keep violence rapper Nas on the bill for the VT welcome back concert, you're going to get pounded.

Mattel toys. They promised to make sure no lead paint from now on. OK, but why weren't you doing that before?

Michael Vick is a big loser. He killed eight dogs? Never mind the dog fighting, but what about the dogicide charges?

And Brit was a loser again this week. The mags say she screams at her kids: Y'all were a mistake! Nice. Watch for K-Fed to get custody.

That's the Friday Finals' winners and losers.

That's My Word.
