The condition of Hollywood all-star Merv Griffin has taken a turn for the worse in his battle with prostate cancer, according to a report.
Griffin, who is being treated for a recurrence of prostate cancer, continues to fight the disease but his reps won't confirm or deny reports of his prognosis, Entertainment Tonight reported.
"I'd rather play Jeopardy! than live it," the 82-year-old game show impresario and former talk show host said in a statement in July when the recurrence was revealed. "I was ready for a vacation; however, this wasn't the destination I had in mind."
Griffin asked fans to donate to the Young Musicians Foundation in lieu of flowers. Griffin is the creator and producer of popular game shows "Jeopardy!" and "Wheel of Fortune."
