'Full Monty' Production Banned After Troupe Can't Find Black Actor

Wanted: Black actor prepared to strip to his skivvies in a British production of "The Full Monty."

The Exmouth Operatic Society has been forced to shut down their production of the popular musical after they failed to find a black actor to play the role of 'Horse' in the musical, the London Daily Mail reported.

The group of part-time, amateur actors is now combing England to find a "Horse." The Race Relations Act of 1976 states that productions may not feature a white character made up to look like a black character because it may offend black people.

The chair of the acting troupe, Val Clarke told the Daily Mail they are not looking to insult anyone, just put on a performance.

"It's political correctness gone mad," she said.
