Missouri citizens, including Gov. Matt Blunt, have appealed to the state's attorney general to get involved in the case of a teen missing since last month.
Blunt sent Attorney General Jay Nixon a letter this week asking that Nixon's office take an active role in the investigation, adding that the Missouri State Highway Patrol has joined the effort to bring Kara home.
"I request that you take the appropriate action in response to their concerns and join the law enforcement agencies such as the Missouri State Highway Patrol that are working to help bring Kara home safely," Blunt wrote to Nixon.
Kara Kopetsky, 17, disappeared from Belton, Missouri on May 4, 2007. She was last seen leaving Belton High School where she recently completed her junior year.
