Police arrested a 24-year-old man on Saturday after he allegedly abducted his 2-year-old daughter and threatened to throw her off a bridge.

Authorities issued an Amber Alert for Tiana Stevens on Saturday morning after arriving at the girl's home in response to a report of a domestic dispute.

They found the child's mother with "life-threatening injuries" at the scene, and she was taken to a hospital where she later died.

Police found the man, his mother and the girl on the Interstate Highway 694 bridge in Brooklyn Center later in the day, and he turned the girl over unharmed after a brief confrontation that closed the busy stretch of highway for about 20 minutes.
