Dear Friends of "FOX & Friends,"

The news from Greensburg, Kansas hits so close to home for me, literally. Raised a couple hours north of Greensburg, we spent many a night in the dusty basement during the summer trying to get comfortable waiting for a storm to blow over. This weekend storm though was a monster unlike anything the state has seen in sixty years.

Under the Enhanced Fujita (EF) Scale it was an F5, with winds of 205 mph. Just imagine where you are sitting right now reading this, and from where you are, to a mile and a half away, everything is destroyed in less than a second. Then make that 22 miles long and you get an idea of the trail of destruction.

The year I graduated from high school in Clay Center, a tornado ripped through the heart of the town, hitting the courthouse and leveling dozens of buildings. When I go back to visit, I still remember where some houses and businesses were before the tornado, but were never rebuilt. I hope the people of Greensburg are able to all rebuild.

On a personal note, Monday was Brian Kilmeade's birthday and I knew that the day before, because I was reminded by my wife that it was my friend Todd Van Duren's birthday as well. So happy birthday to both of you guys — that's all you're getting from me. Actually if you're looking for a great gift for a birthday or Mother's Day or Father's Day, check out Brian's new book at www.briankilmeade.com. Autographed versions available, and suitable for framing.

Be well, and see you in the morning!
