Woman Killed in Houston Office Fire Planned to Testify Against Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Her Daughter

One of three people killed in a Houston office building fire planned to testify today against a man charged with sexually assaulting her daughter.

Jeanette Hargrove of Friendswood died yesterday when fire ravaged her fifth-floor office of the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services.

Hargrove became a victim's rights advocate after her daughter was attacked several years ago.

ID's are pending on the other two victims, but Houston media identified them as Shana Ellis and assistant pastor Marvin Wells.

Six others were injured in the fire, including three firefighters.

One person remains in critical condition. Yogesh Bali had been in a fifth-floor office.

Firefighters are still awaiting the go-ahead from engineers before launching a final search of the structure.

Authorities believe the fire broke out in a medical supply firm on the fifth floor.
