Will Ferrell poked fun at the Oscar nominated elite on stage at yesterday's 79th Academy Awards, lamenting that, "a comedian at the Oscars is the saddest, bitterest, alcoholic clown," since comedies are often overlooked by the serious-minded Academy.
The tuxedo and designer gown clad nominees laughed as Ferrell, joined by Jack Black and John C. Reilly, sang and danced the comedy blues.
With The Departed winning the coveted statue for the year's best picture, and Forest Whitaker and Helen Mirren taking home the prize for best actor and actress, the Oscars were dominated by serious films, rather than the lighthearted ones that make millions in the box office. READ MORE
