Has your beer been a little less-than-satisfactory lately? Well, maybe it’s not the beer.

That's what The Boston Beer Company would have you think anyway, and is why they've introduced "A New Glass," which they claim is specially designed to enhance the imbibing experience.

The Boston-based company, which brews the Samuel Adams brand, enlisted the help of "sensory experts" from Tiax, a technology processing firm, to build a glass that would bring out the best in their products.

In a statement posted on their Web site, Boston Beer Company founder Jim Koch said: “We wanted to create a glass that offers beer lovers a full sensory drinking experience..."

The garish glass, which offers a more bulbous shape than the typical pint glass and bears a bit of a resemblance to a table lamp, was designed with the purpose of, among other things, "maintaining the ideal temperature; supporting a rich and creamy head; and sustaining the right amount of carbonation."

No word on whether the glass might bring out the best in non-Samuel Adams brews, too.
