Doctors have ordered pregnant "Desperate Houswives" star Marcia Cross to bed until her twins arrive — and sent producers scrambling for a way to keep her on the show.

The solution?

Move the entire production to Cross' house for two days so she can work from home, TV Guide reports.

Cross' character, the very particular Bree Van de Camp, is not pregnant on the show, so producers had already been facing a delicate situation trying to keep Cross' bump under wraps.

Starting Thursday, while Cross is resting upstairs in bed, "Housewives" staffers will be downstairs transforming the home into a replica of the Van de Camp abode.

In order to follow her doctor's orders, it is believed Cross will try to film as many scenes as she can in her own living room and then get back into bed afterward.

Cross, 44, had planned to film only two more episodes anyway because of how difficult it would be to hide her pregnancy. She is due in April.

"They are painting the walls, moving in props and furniture from the set," a source says. "They're basically making Marcia's house into Bree's."

On last Sunday's episode of "Housewives," while cameramen seemed to have tried their best to film Cross from the chest up, her growing belly bump was caught on camera anyway.

"Housewives" executive producer Marc Cherry has said for months that he will stick by his plan to ignore Cross' pregnancy in the show's script.
