MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The world's oldest person has died.
Elizabeth "Lizzie" Bolden was 116 when her time came today in a Memphis, Tennessee, nursing home. She'd lived there several years, but relatives say she spoke very little after a stroke two years ago.
The oldest person title was given to Bolden by the Guinness World Records folks in August, after another 116-year-old woman died in Ecuador.
Bolden will have no shortage of mourners. She has literally hundreds of heirs, including 75 great-great-great-great grandchildren.
