On FOX News Sunday this week: An exclusive interview with Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) in his first interview since the “botched joke.” We will ask the 2004 Democratic Presidential nominee about the incident and it’s impact on his possible run for president in 2008. We will also take a look at the continued fallout from the midterm elections and the Democratic takeover of Congress. What are the Democrats’ answers to domestic challenges and the war in Iraq? Also, what can the Republican minority do to maintain influence? We will speak with two experienced legislators and probable 2008 Presidential contenders.

Our guests this week include:

• Sen. John Kerry, (D-Massachusetts)
• Newt Gingrich, (R-Georgia), Former House Speaker

First, in a FOX News Sunday exclusive: After leaving the campaign trail and maintaining a low public profile for nearly three weeks following a “botched joke” that was interpreted by many to be an insult to the troops in Iraq, Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) discusses the political maelstrom for the first time after the election. We will take a look back at the impact of the comments on the midterm elections and Democrats and look ahead to what we can expect from Democratic majority in the next congress. And what impact do the events of the last month have on his hopes of regaining his party’s presidential nomination in 2008? We will ask all of the pressing questions to Sen. Kerry.

Then, after losing both houses of Congress in the midterm elections, what can Republicans do now to have an impact and regain the majority in the next election? Should they pursue a path of moderation and bipartisanship following the signal from the White House or does the GOP need to go back to its roots in conservative economic and social policies? For insights and answers as to how Republicans should proceed, we will speak with the architect of the last GOP Congressional takeover, Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

Our FOX News Sunday panel will then share their analysis of Speaker-designate Nancy Pelosi’s first big defeat with Rep. John Murtha’s loss in the House Majority leader race. Also, what can we expect from the new congressional leaders on both sides of the aisle and how they will approach the war in Iraq? The panel will include Fox News Managing Editor Brit Hume, Weekly Standard Editor Bill Kristol, NPR Senior National Correspondent Juan Williams, NPR National Political Correspondent Mara Liasson.

Finally, as we head into the holiday season we will speak with our "Power Player of the Week", who is set to prepare meals for more than 26 receptions and 10,000 high-level diplomats and top leaders--White House Executive Chef Chris Comerford.
