Brazilian Police Seize 4 Tons of Marijuana Hidden in Truck

Police on Friday seized 4 tons of marijuana hidden in a truck carrying sunflower seeds.

Four people were arrested after police stopped the truck on a highway near the city of Santa Vitoria, some 400 miles north of Sao Paulo in Minas Gerais state, the Brazilian federal police said.

The truck was allegedly transporting the drug from Paraguay to southeastern Brazilian states, home to the country's most-lucrative drug dealing spots, investigator Marinho da Silva Rezende told GloboNews TV.

Rezende said it was one of the biggest drug busts of the year in Minas Gerais state.
