Automatic Data Processing Inc. (ADP) is expected to report fiscal third-quarter net earnings of 63 cents a share, according to analysts polled by Thomson First Call.
Avon Products Inc. (AVP) is seen posting a first-quarter profit of 27 cents a share.
Chevron Corp.'s (CVX) first-quarter per-share profit is expected to be $1.78.
Constellation Energy Group Inc. (CEG) is expected to post a first-quarter profit of 66 cents a share.
Coventry Health Care Inc. (CVH) is seen reporting a per-share profit of 73 cents in its first quarter.
Fortune Brands Inc.'s (FO) first-quarter results are expected to show per-share earnings of $1.02.
Huntsman Corp. (HUN) is expected to report a first-quarter profit of 35 cents a share
ITT Industries Inc. (ITT) is seen posting earnings of 61 cents a share in its first quarter.
Overstock.com Inc.'s (OSTK) first-quarter per-share loss is expected to be 64 cents.
Simon Property Group Inc. (SPG) is expected to post first-quarter earnings of 23 cents a share.
After Thursday's closing bell, Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) said its quarterly profit rose 16% on stronger demand for its software used to run corporate servers and personal computers.

Allegheny Energy Inc. (AYE) reported it more than doubled its net profit for the first quarter of the year, with a strong performance by its power stations and rising electricity prices overcoming the negative impact of a mild winter and higher fuel costs.
Altera Corp. (ALTR) said its first-quarter net income dipped to $58.7 million, or 16 cents a share, down from $63.8 million, or 17 cents a share, in the same period last year. The latest results included stock option expense charges that amounted to 4 cents a share. Sales rose 11% to $292.8 million, short of the expectations of analysts polled by Thomson First Call.
Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (APC) reported a 35% spike in its first-quarter profit despite slightly lower oil and gas production.
Conexant Systems Inc. (CNXT) said the second-quarter net loss was $10.1 million, or 2 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $73.2 million, or 16 cents a share, during the same period last year. On a pro forma basis, the company reported per-share income of 3 cents. Last year's pro forma per-share result was a loss of 8 cents. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call had expected per-share income for the second quarter of 2 cents. Conexant said quarterly revenue was $242.6 million, up from $169.7 million last year. Analysts were looking for revenue of $240 million.
Deckers Outdoor Corp. (DECK) reported first-quarter net earnings of $5.65 million, or 44 cents a share, down 36% from $8.89 million, or 69 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Revenue fell to $56 million from $64.3 million. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call had forecast earnings of 24 cents a share on revenue of $50.3 million.
Digital River Inc. (DRIV) said first-quarter net income was $16.4 million, or 41 cents a share, compared with $14 million, or 35 cents a share, during the same period last year. The e-commerce outsourcing company said quarterly revenue was $78 million, up from $54.5 million last year. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call had expected revenue of $76 million.
Diversified industrial manufacturer Dover Corp. (DOV) said it more than doubled its first-quarter profit on a gain from discontinued operations and strength across all its operating segments.
Flextronics International Ltd. (FLEX) reported a fourth-quarter profit that fell 58% from a year ago as the electronics contract manufacturer took $55 million in charges related to restructuring and other one-time items.
Gateway Inc. (GTW) reported a first-quarter quarter loss that more than doubled over a year ago as the No. 3 U.S. personal-computer company incurred $14 million in litigation costs even as revenue rose.
Intuitive Surgical Inc. (ISRG) reported first-quarter net earnings of $14.5 million, or 38 cents a share, up 59% from $9.1 million, or 25 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Excluding stock compensation expenses, first-quarter income was $17.5 million, or 46 cents a share. Revenue jumped 86% to $77.3 million from $41.6 million. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call had forecast earnings of 20 cents a share on revenue of $63 million.
Invitrogen Corp.'s (IVGN) net income plunged during the first quarter, due largely to acquisition costs and stock option expensing, though sales climbed during the period, the company said Thursday.
KLA-Tencor Corp. (KLAC) reported its net income fell to $98 million, or 48 cents a share, versus net income of $123 million, or 61 cents a share, in the same period last year. The latest results were affected by expensing for stock options, which lowered the company's profit by $31 million. Sales fell to $518 million from $541.6 million, but topped the expectations of analysts surveyed by Thomson First Call.
Netflix Inc. (NFLX) said it plans to file a registration statement to sell 3.5 million shares of common stock in a secondary public offering. The Los Gatos, Calif.-based online movie rental company expects to close the offering in May.
Openwave Systems Inc. (OPWV) reported fiscal third-quarter net earnings of $9.57 million, 10 cents a share. In the same period last year, the company reported a net loss of $2.61 million, or 4 cents a share. Excluding items, profit came in at 21 cents a share compared with 7 cents a share last year. Revenue at the Redwood City, Calif.-based software company rose to $113 million from $106.3 million last year. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call had forecast earnings of 19 cents a share on revenue of $112 million.
Plexus Corp. (PLXS) reported fiscal second-quarter net earnings of $18.5 million, or 40 cents a share. In the same period last year, the company reported a net loss of $4.46 million, or 10 cents a share. Revenue at the Neenah, Wis.-based electronics manufacturing company rose to $337.9 million from $305.5 million. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call had forecast earnings of 34 cents a share on revenue of $340.9 million.
RealNetworks Inc. (RNWK) posted a profit that skyrocketed behind increased revenue from its digital entertainment products and a hefty gain related to its legal settlement with Microsoft Corp. (MSFT).
Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates Inc. (VSEA) reported fiscal second-quarter net earnings of $14.8 million, or 26 cents a share, up 24% from $11.1 million or 20 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Revenue at the Gloucester, Mass.-based company rose 23% to $170.5 million from $139.1 million. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call had forecast earnings of 25 cents a share on revenue of $169 million.
Western Digital Corp. (WDC) reported a third-quarter profit that rose 45% from a year ago as the disk-drive maker recorded higher drive-unit shipments and revenue.
