Former Tennessee Teacher Charged With Sex With Student Arrested for Probation Violation

A former teacher already charged with violating probation since she was jailed for having sex with a student has been arrested again.

Warren County Sheriff Jackie Matheny says Pamela Rogers is in court this morning. She has been in jail since Monday.

This time, the 28-year-old Rogers is accused of communicating with the teenager and sending him sexually explicit videos.

Prosecutors told the Southern Standard [newspaper] in McMinnville that Rogers contacted the now- 14-year-old student electronically hours after an April 12th court hearing on an earlier probation violation charge.

Rogers was released from jail in February after serving six months in jail for having a sexual relationship with the student. A judge at the April 12 probation violation hearing had allowed Rogers to remain free on bond pending a July 12 hearing.

A conviction on the new charges could result in revoked probation and Rogers spending seven years in prison.
