Roosevelt Island tram system opened in 1976 and:

— is now operated by the Roosevelt Island Operating Corp.

— travels a distance of 3,100 feet.
— travels at an average speed of 16 mph in 4 1/2 minutes.
— rises to a maximum height of 250 feet.
