FOX Renews 'Simpsons' and 'King of the Hill'

In a victory for animated folks, FOX has renewed long-running primetime series "The Simpsons" and "King of the Hill."

The network has ordered two more seasons of "The Simpsons," its 18th and 19th, and one more of redneck comedy "King of the Hill," its 11th.

Now in its 17th season, "The Simpsons" is the longest-running comedy on the air and will celebrate its 400th episode in May 2007. The Emmy-winning sitcom debuted on Jan. 14, 1990.

"King of the Hill" will mark its 200th episode in May.

Both series will continue with their longtime casts and producers.
