During an appearance Monday on an L.A. news program, Swanson was asked what cash or prizes she'd won from the FOX reality show.
Swanson, who has paired up off ice with married skating partner Lloyd Eisler, playfully blurted out: "A boyfriend!"
A second later, Swanson realized that she had blind-sided her happy-talking interviewers with the too-hot-to-handle topic of her off-the-rink love triangle.
"Oh, awkward moment," an embarrassed Swanson said.
Jillian Barberie, who is Swanson's rival in the finals of "Skating with the Stars" and co-host of the morning show, "Good Day L.A.," seemed to slink off the screen. "Good Day L.A." co-anchor Steve Edwards saved the moment, and asked Swanson: "Is there anything you want to say here to clear the air?"
"My statement in the tabloid is true, that yes, that we are together. We're very happy," responded Swanson, the original vampire slayer "Buffy" from the movie version.
The "Skating" champion will be crowned Thursday.
