'Dancing With the Stars' Has New Co-Host

Samantha Harris has replaced Lisa Canning as co-host of "Dancing With the Stars," which returns to ABC Jan. 5.

Harris will co-host a live, half-hour results show with Tom Bergeron beginning Jan. 6 at 8 p.m. On that show, one dancing couple will be eliminated.

She'll also appear on the Thursday-night performance show, conducting backstage interviews with the dancing partners.

Harris is a correspondent on "E! News" and "THS Investigates" and has also hosted on "Extra," "The Next Joe Millionaire" and "AMC Access."

"Dancing" pairs celebrities with professional dancers, with each pair learning a new dance every week, then being judged by a panel of experts and viewers at home.

The show was a smash success for ABC last summer, with "General Hospital" star Kelly Monaco besting former "Seinfeld" co-star John O'Hurley for the "Dancing" crown.

This season of "Dancing with the Stars" will feature, among others, Tatum O'Neal, Jerry Rice, Giselle Fernandez and George Hamilton.
