NEW YORK – You can't kill "The Terminator."
The movie franchise made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to become a weekly TV series.
The governor of California won't be in it - he has other pressing business.
Instead, the TV series will be built around warrior character Sarah Connor (played in the movies by Linda Hamilton) and her savior son, John Connor.
The time frame for the series - which will air on Fox - will be between the second and third "Terminator" movies.
Producers say they have been working for nearly two years on adapting the movie series - which grossed over $1 billion - for TV.
Fox is said to have won a spirited bidding war among several networks for the rights.
