Slater Legal Deal OK Despite Roof Antics

Christian Slater's (search) drunken rooftop plunge won't harm his deal with New York prosecutors, who are still willing to give him a pass for an embarrassing grope charge, officials said Tuesday.

The 36-year-old bad-boy actor went out of control at a party thrown by hotel heiress Paris Hilton (search) on Saturday night, and climbed onto a neighbor's roof in West Hollywood, witnesses have said.

Partygoers allege that cops, responding to neighbors' complaints, hit Slater with a Taser gun — claims that LAPD officials denied.

Slater was not charged.

An arrest could have derailed his New York deal, under which prosecutors dropped charges that he groped a woman's backside, but could reinstate them if he gets in trouble again within six months.

"This is not the kind of thing that would affect it," said Manhattan DA spokeswoman Barbara Thompson.
