The gated private estate on Ox Pasture Road that the actor is reportedly taking while Jolie is filming in New York is owned by Richard Martino, a reputed member of the Gambino crime family.
Martino was one of six defendants who pleaded guilty earlier this year to Internet and telephone fraud involving $700 million of unauthorized billing from various porn sites.
Martino, who prosecutors say was the mastermind behind the massive scam, was ordered to forfeit $9 million, forcing him to put his custom-built Southampton estate on the market.
The two-acre gated property — featuring a state-of-the-art security system with several strategically placed video cameras — includes a traditional 2 1/2-story main house with eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a media room, gym, billiards room, children's game room, sauna, spa and two wine cellars.
On the high-hedged property is a oversized pool with a large pool house — stocked with a bar and second billiard table — and a tennis court.
According to local brokers, the house could fetch up to $40,000 a month during the off-season.
