"Joey" (search) is looking for a friend.
The marginally successful "Friends" (search) spinoff will undergo some tweaking before next fall, which is likely to include the addition of a sidekick named Zach for Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc (search), the loveable lothario who moved from New York to Los Angeles.
A casting notice circulating around Hollywood calls for someone to play an "aspiring actor" in his early to mid 30s.
"He makes up for whatever he lacks in talent with ambition and drive," reads the casting sheet.
"Zach is impressed by Joey's talent and success and is certain that together they will take over Hollywood. Joey agrees. They are wrong," states the casting sheet.
While it snares somewhat decent ratings, "Joey" has never really lived up to expectations, NBC officials have admitted. NBC entertainment chief Kevin Reilly has promised changes to the show for next season.
Officials at Warner Bros., the studio that produces the show, declined to comment.
