R&B singer R. Kelly (search), whose criminal trial on child pornography charges is pending, rode his latest disc, "TP.3 Reloaded," (search) to the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Top Albums chart (search).

The record, which sold 490,000 copies last week according to Nielsen SoundScan (search), was boosted by the buzz surrounding Kelly's "Trapped in the Closet," a five-part radio drama turned into a 16-minute mini-movie that's been flying all over the Net.

Call it innovative — or cheesy — but the soap opera is as captivating as a train wreck, and Kelly has promised five more chapters.

This week's only other top 10 debut comes from Louisiana rapper Webbie, who bows at No. 8 with "Savage Life."
