It's been a long time since he rock 'n' rolled, but Jimmy Page (search) received the star treatment Saturday, picking up a royal honor from Queen Elizabeth (search).

The Led Zeppelin (search) guitarist was awarded an OBE, Officer of the British Empire (search), for his work on behalf of disadvantaged children in Brazil.

He joined John Mayall (search), known as the father of British blues, in receiving the coveted honor as part of the Queen's birthday honors list.

Brian May (search), the guitarist for Queen (search), was also honored by her majesty, who named him a Commander of the British Empire.
