The woman allegedly groped by Christian Slater (search) is telling a far tamer tale to her co-workers at a drug-treatment center, a fellow staffer said Wednesday.
The 52-year-old woman told cops Slater accosted her on the street during the wee hours Tuesday, grabbing her derriere in a drunken fit.
He was later arrested on charges of forcible touching and sex abuse.
But a co-worker at the Carnegie Hill Foundation, a methadone clinic on East 92nd Street in Manhattan, said the woman told colleagues that she and the movie star were partying in the same bar — where he's a well-liked regular — and he briefly grabbed her butt after a long canoodling session with his girlfriend.
In that version, both she and Slater happened to be standing near each other at Brother Jimmy's, a casual bar around the corner from her workplace and near Slater's digs.
Then after Slater failed to apologize, the enraged woman dialed 911.
The sassy star had kept his hands to himself while partying at the strip club Scores earlier that night, dancers said.
"He's a gentleman, not a groper," said one stripper, who added that Slater, 35, spent three hours at the club, buying lap dances for his girlfriend and spreading around $500 in in-house "funny money."
The couple drank Perrier water the entire time, staffers said — in contrast to the alleged victim's account that he was boozed up when he groped her at Third Avenue and East 93rd Street.
"He was very friendly, polite and generous," said a dancer.
The alleged victim, whose name is being withheld by The Post, helps out with chores like cleaning at Carnegie.
She told police the actor grabbed her rear end on the street as she bought a soda through a bodega window.
"We're going to defend [the case] to the fullest," said Slater's lawyer, Joseph DeGuardia.
