BOONEVILLE, Ky. – Three people were found shot Tuesday morning and in Owsley County (search) and state police have opened a murder investigation.
Kentucky State Police Trooper Chris Lanham said a woman's body was found inside a mobile home on Kentucky 11 about a half-mile south of Booneville. One man's body was found in the driveway and another in a toolshed behind the mobile home.
The bodies were discovered by a woman, who informed police of the crime. Lanham said he didn't know the woman's relationship to the victims or the victims' relationships to each other. He would not release the names of the victims pending notification of next of kin.
State police said they began investigating after receiving a call shortly before 11 a.m. EDT.
Lanham said detectives have no suspects in the crime.
He said officers were beginning to process the scene early Tuesday afternoon and the investigation was continuing.
