First, there are more pretrial hearings in the Kobe Bryant (search) sexual assault case today in Eagle, Colorado. Will a trial date be set this week by State District Judge Terry Ruckriegle (search) or will the basketball star wind up entering a plea?

Second, pop superstar Michael Jackson (search) has dropped his high profile defense attorneys Mark Geragos (search) and Benjamin Brafman (search). They have been replaced by actor Robert Blake's former lawyer Thomas Mesereau Jr. (search). Why did the entertainer make this decision less than a week before his next arraignment? Is this a smart move or a grave mistake?

Third, jury selection in the Scott Peterson (search) case continued today in Northern California. Last week, Judge Alfred A. Delucchi (search) sealed an anonymous letter claiming that someone other than Scott Peterson killed his pregnant wife Laci and their unborn son, Connor.
