FOND DU LAC, Wis. – Singer Art Garfunkel (search) has an appearance slated in Wisconsin this week — a court date for a speeding ticket.
Garfunkel, 63, was in Wisconsin last month for a concert at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton.
Records show that he was ticketed March 12 by the Wisconsin State Patrol for speeding 11 to 15 mph over the posted limit on a freeway.
Garfunkel's court date was set for Monday in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court. However, the majority of out-of-state residents simply forfeit the bond they've posted for the traffic offense rather than appear in court.
Bond for Garfunkel's speeding offense was set at $181.
No telephone listing for Garfunkel could be found when The Associated Press tried to reach him for comment Sunday.
