Pam Anderson Trades Bikinis for Books

Pamela Anderson (search) is known for many things: Kid Rock, Tommy Lee, “Baywatch,” “V.I.P.,” Playboy and that “accidental” X-rated videotape.

Now, the 37-year-old blonde bombshell can add “sitcom star” to the list.

In her new Fox series “Stacked,” (search) which premieres Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. EDT on Fox, Anderson plays Skyler Dayton, a party girl who takes a job at a bookstore.

The bizarre cast includes smitten bookstore owner Gavin Dewitt (Elon Gold), “Hairspray’s” Tony winner Marissa Jaret Winokur (search) as Anderson’s co-worker and the amazing Christopher Lloyd, who plays a rocket scientist that hangs around the bookstore “The Stacks.”

The Post sat down with Pam while she was in town promoting her stint as the new MAC Viva Glam girl and, of course, her new Fox series.

Can you tell me a little bit about "Stacked?"

It’s a sitcom, but it’s not a joke after joke after joke kind of thing. When we did a live taping, the audience was laughing and they had to cut eight minutes of the show, because the laughing was so long.

Can you tell me a little bit about your character, Skylar?

I get a job in a bookstore. I come into the bookstore because I want a book on relationships. And I just caught my boyfriend in bed with two women. And I’m over dating rock stars, actors, musicians and circus performers. I’m over it all. And I said look, ‘I need to focus on something else.’ And so I picked the perfect place to work to stop meeting hot guys.

So we'll get to see a lot of Pam ...

A lot of myself is in it, I hate to say.

How's your dating life? Can you set the record straight?

It’s good. Stephen [Dorff] is here supporting me throughout all this. Well, actually, he’s in bed sleeping. He’s here in spirit.

You're always in the tabloids wearing the latest fashions. How do you decide what to wear everyday?

I like wearing cool pieces that I’ll have forever instead of trendy stuff. I have gone out for the MTV awards in a rubber dress, but I wasn’t doing it for fashion. I was doing it to be ridiculous. I wouldn’t be wearing that at all.

Just so that your fans can sleep at night, we wonder, are you happy with your breasts?

Yes. That’s the only thing I’ve ever done to myself, so I can be proud of that. I can think of other people that have gotten a lot more [work done].
