And then there were nine.

Jessica Sierra (search), 19, from Tampa, Fla. was the latest "American Idol" (search) contestant to get tossed from the popular Fox TV talent hunt on Wednesday night's live-results show.

Over the last few months, Sierra pushed past thousands of wannabe Idols to make it in to the final group of 10.

Along the way she garnered kudos for her performances, even from snarky judge Simon Cowell.

"Each show is a stepping stone to what I've been trying to become — a star," said Sierra, who's been singing since she was 3.

Meanwhile, Tony Danza made an "Idol" wannabe's dream come true yesterday — introducing Mikalah Gordon to John Agnello, the object of her schoolgirl crush.

Gordon, 17, who was booted off last week's edition the show, has made no bones about her crush on Agnello, the grandson of the late "Teflon Don" John Gotti and one of the stars of A&E's reality show, "Growing Up Gotti." (search)

"I think he's really hot," Gordon told Danza when she appeared as a guest on yesterday's "Tony Danza Show."

Danza then introduced Agnello.

Gordon beamed as Agnello, 17, his head rigid with hair gel, sauntered out onto the set, handed her a bouquet of flowers.

"She's beautiful, a beautiful girl," Agnello said and walked off as Danza cut to a commercial.
