Archie and Ruth Lunsford, grandparents of Florida girl Jessica Lunsford, react at an evening press conference after authorities announced they have found the girl's body and a man has confessed to her kidnapping and murder.

Ruth Lunsford: We feel that we have a great community. We ask for your prayers for her daddy, for us and law enforcement and community, to be able to go on after our great loss.

I don't understand how anyone could do this to a little child. Something has to be done. Thank you.

Archie Lunsford: I'd like for each and everyone to try and put an end to predators. We had no idea that they lived here and it cost us a beautiful granddaughter. I love every one of you. You've been cooperative and helpful. My heart goes out to you, too. This has been the hardest thing in my 72 years I've ever had to deal with.

Mark's hurt so bad, he can't even talk.

This has been the worst day for all of us, and you people have been so supportive in getting the news out. I hope whatever I say it'll mean something to all of you. How anyone could hurt a beautiful child, I don't know.

I raised three children, 13 grandchildren. I know that he'll be punished for what he's done.

There's a scripture in the Bible: 'He who sheds another man's blood, his blood should also be shed,' and I do believe in the Bible.

Ruth: I'd like to say she had no enemies. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. I just can't say no more.

Both: God bless you. Thank you.
