Teen queen Lindsay Lohan's (search) grandmother made a tearful plea to the Hollywood starlet Tuesday to bail out her broke, busted and depressed father, who's facing possible jail time after his most recent arrest.

"Lindsay, I love you very, very much," a teary Marilyn Lohan told The Post as she waited for Michael Lohan (search) to appear in court in Mineola yesterday.

"I hate what's happening. I know your father has problems, but it should be separate from our relationship.

"Just help your father, Lindsay. He loves you — please be there for him. We're flat broke now," said Mrs. Lohan, who was unable to raise her son's $20,000 cash bail.

She said she doesn't think her son, arrested Saturday for DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, was drunk at the time because she saw him about 90 minutes before the crash "and he was fine."

Michael Lohan was arrested after crashing the 2005 Volvo into a utility pole in Syosset.

His mom said he may have been fleeing a vehicle he claimed was following him — a green van he suspected contained private detectives working for his estranged wife, Dina.

A judge yesterday ordered that he be held without bail until his next court date in one week.

She said her son seemed agitated "about not having any money, not having a car" and, just before the crash, told her: "I can't take much more of this."

Lindsay and Dina Lohan (search) were unavailable for comment.
