Last year's Super Bowl (search) is still fresh on the minds of people who are televising the Oscars (search) and Grammys (search).

CBS said Thursday that it would impose a video and audio delay of between five and 10 seconds on its Grammy telecast Sunday night, while ABC plans to use a five-second video and audio delay on the Feb. 27 Oscar telecast for the second straight year.

Last year, only days after the Super Bowl halftime show with Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction," CBS had a five-minute delay on the Grammy show. But network spokesman Chris Ender said there was nothing on last year's Grammy telecast that CBS needed to edit out.

CBS now uses delays on all of its live entertainment events, including "Survivor" finales, he said.

"Everyone wants to operate with caution and responsibility," he said.
