After winning re-election and "reshaping the rules of politics to fit his 10-gallon-hat leadership style," President George Bush for the second time was chosen as Time magazine's Person of the Year (search). But who would you choose as "Person of the Jeer?"

Person of the jeer: Who's yours?

A sample of your responses:

My "Man of the Jeer" nominee would be Michael Moore. His propaganda film did more to split the country than to unify it. His actions were exactly opposite to those of the president.

I would like to nominate CNN, NBC, CBS and ABC for their slanted coverage on the War on Terror and the War in Iraq. Surely, when all these troops come home, they will remember their efforts being undercut on a daily basis by these organizations. Only FOX covered all sides of these stories.

My vote for the "Jeer of the Year" award: Kofi Annan

I think the Iraqi insurgents are the winners of this year's jeer. They do not realize that they are being OFFERED what many nations and people have FOUGHT to have - FREEDOM! All that they have to do to get it is VOTE their choice in January.

I don't know about y'all but I'm voting for Michael Moore and Michael Jackson for "Person of the Jeer." I'm seriously tired of both Michaels.

My vote for "Man of the Jeer" is actually "Men of the Jeer." Barry Bonds, Jason Giambi and Gary Sheffield. This is a terrible example to set for our youths.

My "Person of the Jeer" would be all of those Hollywood liberals who suddenly became political experts this year!

New York Congressman Charlie Rangel is my pick. He authored a bill to bring back the draft, then voted against it. Now he's calling for the impeachment of Don Rumsfeld.

Anna Nicole Smith ...

I'd like to nominate the 2004 Democratic presidential candidates as a group who like my granddaughter's kindergarten class is in dire need of adult supervision.

Year after year, the ACLU provides us with jeer!
Samuel D. Blanton

I nominate Mark Geragos. After losing the Winona Ryder case, he botched the Peterson case and gave Americans 100 new reasons to hate lawyers!
Mike B.

My nomination for "Person of the Jeer" is all people who want to take Christ out of Christmas!

Who’s bad? Michael Jackson. I’ll give it to you on the count of three. He’s bad, he’s bad - come on. You know he’s bad, he’s bad, you know it. Just to tell you once again, he’s bad.

Of all the people to jeer this year, it breaks my heart to say, but the highest on the list would have to be the soldiers at the Abu Ghraib prison. That was not just jeerable but appalling.
