We're coming to you LIVE from the heartland this Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET!
Former Ohio congressman and host John Kasich covers the stories that touch our entire nation.
Here's a preview of some of the stories we're working on for this weekend.
Saturday, Nov. 27:
Across the country, Americans recognized their blessings as they celebrated Thanksgiving with family and friends, but students in Maryland public schools leaning about the first Thanksgiving between Pilgrims and Native Americans (search) got a secular lesson about the holiday. Students were taught from a historical perspective that omitted from their lesson the Pilgrim’s faith and their thankfulness to God for the peaceful feast with Native Americans. Should school leave out the Pilgrim’s faith from their Thanksgiving lesson or is it censorship? We’ll ask Michael Gross, a civil rights attorney.
And the omnibus appropriations bill (search) is loaded with all sorts of pork projects. Is this political business as usual or gross misuse of appropriated money? We’ll ask David Williams, vice president of Citizens Against Government Waste (search).
That and much more!
Be sure to watch "Heartland" this Saturday evening at 8 p.m. ET and on Sunday at 4 a.m. ET.
