Iraqi security forces and U.S. Marines (search) have freed a captive Iraqi truck driver during a raid south of Baghdad.
The military says the raid took place Monday about 25 miles south of Baghdad (search).
A joint force found the hostage while sweeping through several buildings in search of militants. Four suspects were detained.
The rescued hostage was taken to a nearby U.S. base, where he received medical treatment before being released. The man's captors reportedly accused him of working with coalition forces.
