OKLAHOMA CITY – Former child star Macaulay Culkin (search) pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Oklahoma City to charges of possession of marijuana and prescription anxiety pills.
Culkin, best known for his role in the "Home Alone" (search) movies, was arrested Sept. 17 while traveling with a friend in a rental car on Interstate 44 in Oklahoma City.
The 24-year-old actor was arraigned on the two misdemeanor charges in Oklahoma County District Court. His next court appearance was set for Dec. 2.
Culkin was arrested after police stopped the car in which he was a passenger. Officers found over a half-ounce of marijuana and several Xanax tablets, prescription medication used to treat depression and panic disorders. Culkin did not have a prescription, authorities said.
At the time of his arrest, Culkin of New York City, was booked into Oklahoma County Jail (search) and then was released on $4,000 bond.
