Brian Wilson reports from Washington: The Senate prepared to pass three substantial bills today, including spending for disaster relief and homeland security and a corporate tax bill two years in the making. — Today's actions leave lawmakers free to depart from Washington and head for the campaign trail.

Dana Lewis reports from Kabul: We'll get a wrap-up of the first elections ever held in Afghanistan.
