President Bush is making his fourth trip to vote-rich Florida to see damage from the latest of four hurricanes to strike the state in six weeks.
Bush is taking a walking tour Wednesday of Lake Wales, Fla., in the center of the state, to survey damage left by Hurricane Jeanne (search). Afterward, he heads to Miami where on Thursday he'll debate Democrat John Kerry (search) in the first of three match-ups.
Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan and now Jeanne have all but halted campaigning in Florida, which offers Bush or Kerry 27 electoral votes on Election Day.
Bush has visited the state after each storm.
Bush surveyed damage on Aug. 15 in southwestern Florida; Sept. 8 in Port St. Lucie, Fla.; and Sept. 19 in the Florida Panhandle and nearby Alabama. On Aug. 27, Bush received a briefing on Hurricane Charley (search) in a Miami firehouse, about 100 miles away from the nearest damage.
