LOS ANGELES – Actor Billy Bob Thornton (search) and his girlfriend announced Wednesday that she has given birth to a baby girl.
The girl, named Bella, weighed 6 pounds, 1 1/2 ounces, publicist Arnold Robinson said. Connie Angland, 39, and the baby were both said to be doing well.
It is the fourth child for Thornton, 49, and the first for Angland.
No other details were immediately available.
Thornton stars in the upcoming "Friday Night Lights," in which he plays a high school football coach in Odessa, Texas. He played Davy Crockett in last year's "The Alamo."
Thornton, who has three children from two previous marriages, divorced actress Angelina Jolie (search) in May 2003.
