Authorities said Wednesday that a missing Florida girl had been found safe in northern Georgia.

A $10,000 reward had been offered Wednesday for the safe return of a 12-year-old Briana Schultheis (search).

Briana vanished on Sunday, apparently in the company of Raymond Lewis, a registered sex offender who had been doing some work for her family.

Lewis was taken into custody as Briana was found.

Briana's mother had Lewis fired when she found out about his background, but the girl had already formed some kind of bond with him.

An Amber Alert (search) was issued. On Tuesday, the FBI and state authorities offered the reward in hopes of finding Briana and putting Lewis in jail.

Authorities got hold of a surveillance video showing the two early Sunday morning getting on a Greyhound bus in Tallahassee, and bound for Atlanta.

Lewis was wanted on a federal charge of transporting a minor across state lines.

Tips had come in from the Atlanta area and were being followed.
