"Jeopardy!" whiz Ken Jennings is ducking rumors that his streak is up — but he's not denying them either.

After several reports that the brainy software engineer lost in a show taped Tuesday (that would air in October), Jennings dodged questions during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres (search) on her syndicated talk show.

On the show, taped lass Thursday and set to air today, Jennings says: "Well, I think it was on the Internet and as you know, if there's something on the Internet, it's gotta be true."

The Web site Kottke.org (search) first reported early Wednesday morning that Jennings lost after 75 straight wins, amassing a total of about $2.5 million overall in cash and prizes.

Later that night, the Web site of authoritative trade publication TV Week (search) carried the same story, citing unnamed show "sources."
