Turkey Day Thanks

The FOX News Channel Family has a lot to be thankful for this holiday season. Our foreign teams have been in precarious situations this year, and we continue to wish them a safe return, and are grateful for their hard work. Read some of the other things we are thankful for this holiday:

Producer Scott Heidler in Baghdad
Scott Heidler:

I'm thankful that I still laugh every time I talk to my 5-year-old niece Elizabeth. She asks me "how Baghdaddy is." Cheers!

Linda Vester
Linda Vester:

Here are some things I'm thankful for: the FOX News viewers who are flocking to DaySide  (those who watch from home, and those who come to see the show live in the studio). The team who works every day to put DaySide on the air, making sure we cover all angles of the latest breaking news (they work their tails off.) My husband, my baby daughter, my adopted son, and my three teenage stepsons. And one more time...my husband.  I am married to the most wonderful man in the whole world. Happy Thanksgiving!

Rick Leventhal
Rick Leventhal:

I'm thankful for living in the best country in the world, and for the troops serving to protect our free and democratic way of life. I'm thankful for my two wonderful children, and the rest of my supportive family and friends. I'm especially thankful for my gorgeous girlfriend, who helps me laugh even when I want to cry. Oh, and I'm thankful for pizza and beer...which is what I'll probaby have for Thanksgiving dinner here in Jerusalem.

Laurie Dhue
Laurie Dhue:

I'm thankful for my close, loving family (even though they're all in Atlanta and I won't be with them Thursday), my friends, good health and my job at the number one news network!!

Jonathan Serrie
Jonathan Serrie:

I'm thankful for the recent birth of my son Liam. I'm also thankful that my neurotic miniature dachshund, Duncan, gets along with him so well.

Patti Ann Browne

A man in Phoenix calls his son in New York the day before Thanksgiving and says, "I hate to ruin your day, but your mother and I are divorcing. 45 years of misery is enough."

"Pop, what are you talking about?" the son screams.

"We're sick of each other," the father says.  "And I'm sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in Chicago and tell her."

Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone. "Like hell they're getting divorced," she shouts. "I'll take care of this."

She calls Phoenix immediately and screams at her father, "You are NOT getting divorced. Don't do a single thing until I get there. I'm calling my brother back, and we'll both be there tomorrow. Until then, don't do a thing. DO YOU HEAR ME?" and hangs up.

The old man hangs up his phone and turns to his wife. "Okay," he says, "they are all coming here for Thanksgiving, and they're paying their own way!"

That's obviously a joke!  But it leads to my serious answer to the question: "What are you thankful for?" I'm so grateful for my family.  My parents are happy and full of love, and my sisters and their husbands are wonderful and always supportive.  I'm also so grateful for my fiance.  I feel very lucky.  I'm thankful for the men and women risking their lives to fight for our freedom far away.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Mike Emanuel
Mike Emanuel:

I'm thankful for a great family, wonderful friends, terrific opportunities, good health, and for living in the United States. I'm thankful my parents just celebrated 40 years of marriage, and are a great example for their sons.  I'm thankful for NEXT SEASON for my football teams: the New York Giants and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.  I'm thankful my parents never sent me to Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch for "sleepovers."

Kelly Wright
Kelly Wright:

I have a whole list of what I'm thankful for but in the essence of time I'll keep it short. I'm very thankful to God for having a great family, a great job at FOX News, and great friends.  Also, during this Thanksgiving I'm very grateful for the men and women in the military who are fighting for our freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Adam Housley
Adam Housley:

I am thankful for a new governor that can beat up any other governor in the country. Seriously, I am thankful for a fantastic family who is in good health, coworkers who I consider friends, and a job that takes me to people and lands that I only dreamed of meeting. I hope our world becomes a safer place in the coming year and people in other parts of the world realize America is here to help promote freedom and opportunity.

David Asman
David Asman:

Of course I'm thankful to all those FOX Fans who pull for us through good times and bad. I'm thankful we live in a country that allows an organization like FOX News Channel to exist and flourish. I'm thankful that out of the horror of 9/11, the citizenry pulled together and recommitted itself to our core principles and to our willingness to fight to defend those principles. I'm thankful to the angels that watched over my son in Iraq and kept him safe throughout the most horrible fighting. I'm thankful for the opportunity to split my time between the most exciting city in the world and the most beautiful nature in the world. I'm thankful that should I strike out in TV, I've almost paid off my mortgage. I'm thankful that I have an agent who makes sure I don't strike out on TV. And above all else, I'm thankful that I have the time to see my children grow up in an environment of love.

Gregg Jarrett
Gregg Jarrett:

I'm thankful for being here at FOX.   I arrived one year ago this month.    It's been a terrific twelve months.   Viewers are kind and supportive.   I love it here.   What a change from my previous life at that other place!

Molly Henneberg
Molly Henneberg:

I'm thankful for my family, I'm thankful to live in the USA, and I'm thankful for loyal viewers who watch FOX News Channel. Happy Thanksgiving!

Anthony Campiglia:

I'm most thankful for my daughter Hanna Lynn.  She's the most amazing 2-year-old in the world and everyday she makes me feel luckier and luckier to be her daddy.

I'm also thankful that my wife is having a great pregnancy and the rest of my family is healthy.

Rick Folbaum
Rick Folbaum:

I'm thankful for the Internet. No way I could do my job without it. Happy Holidays!

Julian Phillips
Julian Phillips:

Thankful for all the people who remember the poor and disenfranchised on Thanksgiving. Thankful that my niece with the 4th Infantry Division is alive and well in the Mideast. Thankful for all of our loyal FOX viewers!

Bill McCuddy
Bill McCuddy:

I am thankful that I am not a turkey. Oh wait. That's not always true. Hmmmm.

Bert Thomas:
(DC Tech Ops)

A long time ago when I started living on my own, Holidays weren't always fun. I truly was on my own, no family to celebrate with. On one particular Thanksgiving, I came home from work, but realized I had no money for food. I did have one can of chicken noodle soup. As I lay on my bed, looking through the alcove to my refrigerator, there on top stood that one can of soup. That was it; no juice, no bread, no milk, no nothing. My dilemma—eat it for dinner, or save it for breakfast. I decided, if I fell asleep, I would not feel hungry, so I went to sleep.

So on this Thanksgiving holiday, be thankful for what you have, and for what you do not have. Be thankful today, because tomorrow is just a good night's sleep away.

Claudia Cowan
Claudia Cowan:

I am thankful for my health, and the health of my family. After nearly giving up on having children, I am thankful that my precious twins are about to turn five. I am thankful for wonderful friends and co-workers who offer guidance when needed, criticism when warranted, and support all the time. I am thankful for a great job in a competitive, exciting, and demanding industry. I am thankful for the people I've known, and the places I've been and the things I've seen. After 40 years, I am thankful for perspective.
