A helicopter crashed into a south central Wisconsin (search) home tonight, killing at least one person and injuring two.

Sauk County (search) Sheriff's Department was planning to search the area throughout the night to see if there were any passengers from the helicopter.

Randy Stammen with the department says investigators found one body but hadn't been able to reach it.

The occupants escaped the house about two miles north of Prairie du Sac before flames engulfed it.

One of them was uninjured and the other two received minor cuts and bruises.

The American Transmission Company says the helicopter also damaged power lines in the area.

The accident occurred at about 8 p-m.

Authorities say it's unclear where the helicopter was from or what it was doing in the area. It traveled east over Lake Wisconsin before crashing.

Witnesses say the helicopter became tangled in some power lines.
