Well, George Eads (search) and Jorja Fox were hired back on "CSI" — but now another actor is leaving the show's spinoff, "CSI: Miami." (search

Rory Cochrane (search), who plays Tim "Speed" Speedle, will be killed off in the season opener — an episode titled "Lost Son" — the fan website CSIfiles.com speculates.

Speed and Horatio (played by series star David Caruso (search)) will get into a gunfight with the bad guys while visiting a Miami jewelry shop to investigate a kidnapping — and Speed will be killed in the resulting shootout, the site says.

Cochrane reportedly wanted to be written out of the show earlier — and this is certainly one way to accomplish that.

It's been known that a "CSI: Miami" cast member would be leaving the show, and there's even information about that character's funeral at etonline.com after last night's "Entertainment Tonight" (search) did a story on the death. But the cast member's identity has been a well-guarded secret.

Cochrane would be the second "CSI: Miami" cast member to depart the premises; series original Kim Delaney (search) left midway through the first season.

"The show loses one of its own on premiere night," said CBS spokesman Chris Ender. "But viewers will have to wait a while to see if the Internet rumors about the identity are true."
